Launched in 2008, it seeks to fill the gap between academic journals and green publications by offering accessible, scientifically sound reporting on the environment. While based at Yale, e360 is independent and funded primarily by foundation grants. It has a staff of three people and a team of Yale student interns that does fact-checking and research. It reaches a global audience, with 40 percent of its traffic coming from outside the United States.
