The Needham Observer

Mission

The mission of the Needham Observer is to contribute to a better-informed and more civically engaged community through independent, fact-based news reporting. Our goal is to fill the information gap left by the loss of our local newspaper by illuminating issues and actions by town government, businesses, organizations and individuals that affect the daily life of residents. We aim to be a resource of accurate information that creates common understanding and allows residents to take informed action on the critical issues affecting the town. We strive for equity and inclusion in its many forms in both how and with whom we work, and in our coverage we are committed to highlighting individuals, groups and topics that represent all aspects of our community. Our vision is to reflect Needham back to itself in a way that fosters and expands connections across all segments of town.
