Mission
The Badger Project is a nonpartisan journalism nonprofit in Wisconsin that investigates state government, campaign donors, law enforcement and related matters. Our goal is to empower Wisconsin residents with fact-based information so they can make informed decisions in their lives and in the voting booth. With the decline of news sources around the state, we focus on providing coverage for areas — both in topic and location — that don’t get much attention.
About our journalism
We don’t have a paywall and we mostly give our work away for free to newspapers and other news orgs so as many people as possible can read it. We are mainly funded by donations, so please consider donating.
