Our mission is real local news: transparency and accountability in government, without fear or favor. As our community is a threatened barrier island at the intersection of state, county, and federal parks, our unique environment will be a distinctive part of our coverage, along with arts and culture. Our longterm vision: to expand strong nonprofit hyperlocal news to other communities in Miami, especially underserved ones.
