Mission
The Alameda Post serves the community by reporting current news and information, promoting community groups, diversity, and cultural awareness, and preserving Alameda’s history for future generations.
About our journalism
We are Alameda’s only daily news source and only nonprofit news organization in a city of 78,000 in the middle of the SF Bay Area. We are an island whose history and issues are different than any of our surrounding communities, and we are dedicated to making sure Alameda does not become a news desert.
