Our mission is to provide the Applegate watershed with a communication vehicle that offers educational information, increases community networking, and represents all of the area’s diverse communities. Through honest, constructive, relevant, and entertaining coverage of our natural resources, historical and current events, and community news, we work together to enhance the quality of life we share in the Applegate.
About our journalism
The Applegater newsmagazine has served as the voice of the 700-square mile Applegate Valley since 1994. It’s the only publication uniting the 20,000 residents in seven hamlets and assorted neighborhoods scattered across three counties and two states. It’s a community paper serving community interests, mailed free to all four times a year. It’s all local and always free, all funded by reader donations and business advertising. Applegater content is from the community, by the community, and for the community.
